To address this, various "energy bootcamps" are springing up, focusing on practical training for wind, solar, and storage systems, becoming a new engine for talent development.

O&M Talent Shortage Forces Training Model Innovation

Traditional energy education emphasizes theory, but renewable plants are often in remote areas, requiring high hands-on skills and emergency response. Singapore's Energy Market Authority (EMA) recently partnered with local universities to launch a "New Energy O&M Bootcamp," whose curriculum emphasizes full simulation: trainees must complete tasks such as fault diagnosis, blade repair, and grid connection in a virtual wind farm. The first cohort saw enrollment exceed expectations by 300%, reflecting strong market demand for practical training.
